2011 | Paperframes is a series of small frames from Newspaperwood (a new material, designed by Vij5), to exhibit your finest and precious objects. To symbolize the bark of a tree, Ontwerpduo covered the Newspaperwood with a thin layer of colored paper. They intended to augment the Newspaperwood rather than to supplement it with an extra material. All used paper colors are reflected in the growth rings of the Newspaperwood itself.
